I was driving from Mandalay Road up towards the Jln Tan Tock Seng via Minbu Road. This Minbu Road is sloped upwards slightly and this low rise apartment is on the right side when driving upwards. You can see this 'attap gate' and I'm wondering why? I remember these attap leaves are meant for the roof top of those old kampong houses.

Changing Landscape Of Bedok Town Centre

This is currently how the Bedok Town Centre looks like (near to the New Upp Changi Road side). On the left used to be the old Changi Cinema and Bedok Cinema. On the right was the big open-air carpark popular to the movie-goers. Now sit the few new HDB blocks and the coffee shop below. I wonder what will replace the old cinemas as it's still under construction. Another new mall?

School Canteen Turned Food Court

This used to be the school canteen of the old Tanjong Katong Secondary School, but now it is LC Food Court. Though it's called a food court, but it's not air-conditioned and it's open to the public. Many taxi drivers like to patronise this place probably of the free parking.

Now stands the Singapore Raffles Music College, was previously the Tanjong Katong Secondary School building. In fact, this school building started off as an all boys school Tanjong Katong Technical School in the 50s. Later it became Tajong Katong Secondary Technical School and in 1993, it was again renamed as Tanjong Katong Secondary School.

So where is the school now? I'll leave it to you to guess.
